I'm sending my heartfelt sympathy to John-David and his family at the loss of his mother, Kathie.

She once told me that her greatest work was raising her son, John-David. Her love overflowed for him and his wife. Kathie was overjoyed at the birth of her grandson, Logan, whom she loved dearly. She recently called me and told me that she was blessed beyond measure.

Her Irish eyes are smiling still.

I am standing by the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean. She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a peck of white cloud just where the sun and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, "There she goes!" Gone where? Gone from my sight - that is all. She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the places of destination. Her diminished size is in me, not in her. And just at the moment when someone at my side says, "There she goes!", there are other eyes watching her coming, and other voices ready to take up the glad shout "Here she comes!!". Love you Kathie.

To Kathie's family...Kathie was the glue that kept us all together. She was a great friend and confidant, was so caring and a great listener. She will be sadly missed by all, especially us "Becker Beauties" from Becker Jr. College, Morey Hall!

I can't put into words how sad I am that you are gone. So many years of friendship,memories and conversations.You are the best at reaching out to all of us and keeping us connected. May the road rise up to meet you,may the wind always be at you back, may the sun shine gently on your face,may the rain fall softly on your fields,until we meet again-May the Lord always hold you in the hollow of his hand.

You will be missed by so, so many! To not hear that NJ drawl anymore, that wonderful humerous wit, and that unfailing ability to hone in on what was really important. You're leaving creates a hole in our hearts and you will be missed my friend - rest in peace.

John David, I know that the only ones whose pain is more is yours and Jayne. I loved your mother, she was a sister to me. My confidant, political ally, the rock who kept me centered.I can not imagine life without her. The only thing that truly gives me peace is knowing she is with Edgar and Evelyn again. She will always be with me. She was a very special person. She is at peace and happy. I know she will be a guardian angel for all of us as she was on earth. Oh how I'll miss you. My phone won't ring at 10PM anymore and I won't hear, "hey Con, how are you?" How many people did you love, help and forgive in your 58 years? Too many to count. We shared all that life had to offer and we had many great times. Say hello to Fran and Bross & Brossy for me. I'm sure your daddy is so happy you've gone home to him. You're in my heart forever.
