Jerry McDonald, 62, of Drums, PA, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Thursday May 8, 2008 at the Hospice Community Care, Wilkes-Barre, PA. Jerry had been the purchasing manager for Weir Minerals, Hazelton, PA. Born on January 15, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Dr. John and Genevieve McDonald. Jerry was a graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy, Valley Forge, PA and Franklin Pierce College, Rindge, NH. Jerry served proudly in the US Army in Vietnam in 1968 – 1970. Jerry had enjoyed golfing, fishing, woodworking, and the outdoors. Surviving are his wife Jean (Fischer) McDonald; a daughter, Tracy Corbin and her husband Scott of Sausalito, CA; two brothers, Joel McDonald and his wife Peggy of Toledo, OH, and Kimbo McDonald and his wife Ann-Marie of Palmerton, PA; an aunt, Virginia Robinson of Columbus, OH; a niece; several cousins; and his beloved cat, Oscar.
