Obituary of Edward Francis Ponce

Edward Francis Ponce, 90, of Washington, White Township, NJ passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021.

Born on December 20, 1931 in Elmhurst, NY, he was the son of the late William and Martha Grant Ponce.

Ed was a graduate of Washington High School. He had served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict.

Ed had worked as an Operating Engineer at the Oxford Quarry before retiring.

He had loved living “up on the mountain” where he built his home. Ed enjoyed the outdoors and feeding his birds. He especially enjoyed his few vacations on the Windjammer Cruises.

Surviving are his children, Bettemae Planer, Christopher Ponce and his wife Brenda, Edward C. Ponce and his wife Susan, and Mary Wiseburn and her husband John; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a brother, William Ponce; sisters, Martha and Mona.

A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Montana Cemetery, Harmony Township, NJ.
