My first reaction when learning of the loss of my loved son-in-law, Walter Tutka, was it must not have really happened. Walt meant so much to me and my deceased husband, Dick. Walt was more like a son to us than a son-in-law. I will miss him terribly, but the love I have for Walt is leaving me memories which are bringing smiles and less tears. God bless.
My sincerest condolences to the Tutka family. I had the privilege of meeting Walt 50 years ago as high school buddies and spent time hunting, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. We recently reconnected after many years thanks to his sister Liz and we had the opportunity to spend some time together Which we both enjoyed. Walt had a contiguous smile and was always up beat and happy. Rest In Peace my friend you will be missed Bill Gratacos
I met Walt 35 years ago at Tim's christening in Dover. It seems like only yesterday.....He greated me with that big smile and treated me as if I were a lifelong friend instead of someone who he had just met for the first time. And everytime I would see him over those years since then he would always have that same big smile, that same huge personality, and that same eagerness to make everyone feel welcome. He was never at a loss for words and you could see just how much he genuinely enjoyed being with people, engaging them in conversation on just about any topic and getting to know them ....
It was impossible not to like Walt ... Impossible ... He was a very special man who loved life, loved his family and friends, loved God, and lived life on his own terms. He was the type of man who would go out of his way to help others and did so gladly without asking questions... When I was in the hospital waiting to have heart surgery and wondering for the first time about my own mortality, Walt and the boys drove 3-hours each way to see me. I can't tell you how much that meant to me. But that was typical Walt. God knows how many other times that he had done similar things for others
He was a truly good man who lived life to the fullest ... It pains me to say goodbye but it helps to know that he is with God now. I am greatful to have had the pleasure of knowing him and for being a member of his extended family all of these years. The world would be a much better place if we all lived our lives as Walt did. I will miss him and I know that so many others will also ...... Rest in peace ...
"When you lose someone you love, you gain an angel that you know." To the Tutka Family: Both my husband and I enjoyed our conversations with Walt. He was an incredible man of faith and his smile was infectious. We always walked away from our deep conversations feeling revived not only in our faith but in our beliefs for mankind. It was always a pleasure running into Walt whether walking in town or at the local supermarket. May The Holy Family bring you peace during this difficult time and may the soul of Walt rest in peace.

To my sister-in law Debbie and Nephews, Ted, Tom, Tyler, Terrell, & Tim & niece Jessica (Tim’s wife),
Walt was a special brother who loved to talk to people and engage others in conversation. He loved sharing Bible verses and made it a point to visit those in need to share the Gospel of the Lord God.
Walt also enjoyed sharing information about vitamins and supplements to support good health. He always called me to make sure I didn’t miss the sales at ShopRite, especially when pomegranates were 4 for $5, and the specials for Res-Q Omega 3 supplements. I will miss his calls and enthusiasm. Sometimes he stopped by after Church for a quick bite to eat and never disappointed by leaving a clean plate behind!
Walt loved sharing family holiday celebrations and enjoyed Ukrainian cuisine, as our Mom Nadia was a fantastic cook. Walt and Debbie blessed our parents, Teodor Sr. and Nadia Tutka, with 5 amazing grandsons who were the light of their lives!
Walt spoke with Bob weekly to discuss the Bible and current events. They talked for hours in great detail and provided each other with their personal views and opinions. Some conversations had to be continued after each referred to the Bible for additional information. Bob lost a dear friend and brother-in-law.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of God.
Rejoice and be glad; (y)ours is the Kingdom of God!
We are praying for all. With our heartfelt sympathy and love,
Liz, Bob and Rob Jr.
I have so many wonderful memories of Walt it’s hard to begin. From many many years working closely in Royal Rangers to trout fishing on the Musconetcong river to pheasant hunting at Pequest state lands. Walt was a wonderful gentle godly man who always spoke the truth and always shared the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. May he rest in peace. I will miss our talks!!
The staff of MacFadden Funeral Home extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your loved one. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. May our thoughts and prayers provide comfort for your family during this difficult time.
Walt, it was always a pleasure to be with you. I have so many great memories of Royal Ranger outings with you and your boys. I will miss you and your exuberant unwavering faith. I’m in shock at the thought you are gone so soon. BTW I took your advice in 2007 to buy a Toyota. I’ve own 2 RAV4s since then. I put 300,000 on the 2007 and currently have 250, 000 on my 2011. You were correct. They are the best cars.
