Obituary of Jack Robert Nimmo
Jack Robert Nimmo, 89, of the Country View section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021 at home with his loving family at his side.
Born on September 30, 1931 in Nanty-Glo, PA, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth Smith Nimmo.
Jack had served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had worked for nearly 50 years for the DeSesa Engineering Company as a heating and air conditioning mechanic under Workers Union Local 475, Newark, NJ.
Jack was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. He was an avid golfer and had enjoyed fishing and antiques. He especially enjoyed his trips to Jacktown, PA for the Blue Mountain Antiques shows. Also, Jack was well known for his famous pickles, jams and zucchini breads.
Jack was the husband of the late Barbara Rifenburgh Nimmo. Surviving are his three children, Deborah Panei and her husband Ralph, Michael Nimmo and his wife Donna, and Mark Nimmo and his wife Maria; seven grandchildren, Sara, Michael, Ashley, Emily, Luke, Daniel, and Olivia; two beloved great-grandchildren, Jack and Scarlett.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrate 11:00 AM Thursday, March 11, 2021 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ. Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriers Project.
