Obituary of Edith M. Adelmann

Edith M. Adelmann, 90, of Knowlton Township, NJ, passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at St. Luke’s Warren, Phillipsburg, NJ.

Born in Neuweid, Germany on April 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Hugo and Juliane (Christ) Rockenfeller.

Edith was the wife of William E. Adelmann, Ph.D. They were married for 71 years. Edith received her Bachelor of Arts degree from East Stroudsburg University and her Master’s degree in German Languages and studies from Millersville University. She was a teacher at Pocono Mountain School District before retiring.

Edith enjoyed reading, gardening, swimming and world travel. Her family was always her prime concern.

In addition to her parents, Edith was predeceased by her son, Roy.

Surviving are her husband William; children, Harry and Joan; three grandchildren, Travis, Julie, and Heather; three great-grandchildren, Brody, Madison, and Nate.

Services will be private under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.
