Obituary of Joyce Mary Rodenbaugh

Joyce Mary Rodenbaugh, 92, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2018 at the Care Center of Brakeley Park, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Born on November 26, 1925, Joyce was the daughter of the late Elmer and Emma Henry Smith. Joyce married the late Paul "Dutch" Rodenbaugh in 1949. Joyce was a graduate of Belvidere High School class of 1943. She was a member of many associations including; the Goodwill Fire Co. Auxiliary, Secretary and member of the Belvidere Alumni Association, and Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee of the Belvidere Cemetery Association for 36 years. Joyce loved her family, her home, and sitting on her front porch. She was a devoted member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. Joyce worked as a teller for the First National Bank of Belvidere where she later retired in 1992. Along with the bank she had various side jobs including; First National Bank of Hope, NJ, bookkeeper for Suburban Propane Gas Co., bookkeeper for Stewart Chevrolet, and she assisted in her father's business, Elmer R. Smith and Son Contractors. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased in death by her sisters; Edna Meisheild, Dorothy Snyder, Edith Paul and Alma Smith. Joyce is survived by three sons, Dennis Rodenbaugh of Belvidere, NJ, Paul Rodenbaugh Jr. of Phillipsburg, NJ and David Rodenbaugh of Phillipsburg, NJ; a daughter, Susan Stehlik (Peter) of Columbia, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; and a brother Elmer J. Smith of Belvidere, NJ. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823. Interment will follow at the Belvidere Cemetery. Friends and family may call from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 23, 2018, and 10:00 AM to time of service Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at MacFadden Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joyce's memory may be made to the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, Good Will Fire Co., or the Belvidere Ambulance Corps.
