Helen S. Osmun, 97 of Knowlton Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice Home, Fredon Township, NJ. Born on February 8, 1921 in Belvidere, NJ she was the daughter of the late Frederick Staples and Alma Scholz. Helen was a teacher for Knowlton Township School before retiring. She had attended both the Phillipsburg and Oxford Senior Centers and had enjoyed playing cards and the many bus trips. Helen had enjoyed camping and travelling with her family. She was an avid horseback rider, golfer, and bowler. She enjoyed the casinos and horse racing. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Arthur C. Osmun, who died on August 2, 1996 and her son, Robert A. Osmun, who had died on August 1, 2011. Surviving are a son, Gary D. Osmun and his wife Roxanne; a daughter-in-law, Lee Osmun; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter. Funeral Service will be held 1:30 PM Friday, June 1, 2018 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Ramseyburg Cemetery, Delaware, NJ. Friends may call from 12:30 PM to the time of service at the funeral home.
