Obituary of Robert Emil Fechisin
Retired New Jersey State Police Captain Robert Emil Fechisin #2859 of Bangor, Pennsylvania died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the age of 68.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Patrick R. C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ. Burial will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, February 9, 2018 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ.
Robert was born in Phillipsburg, NJ to Emil and Helen Fechisin on February 5, 1950. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1968 and went on to earn his bachelor degree from the University of Dubuque in 1972. Thereafter, he graduated with badge #2859 from the 88th class of the New Jersey State Police. He went on to serve 33 dedicated years and retired as a captain at Troop B Headquarters in Totowa, NJ.
"Fech" is survived by his wife, Wendy, a retired New Jersey teacher, to whom he was married for nearly 45 years; a son, Joel, an orthopedic surgeon from Brielle, NJ and his wife Janine Fechisin, whom is expecting Robert and Wendy's first grandchild.
