Condolences
So sorry to hear about your dad my sincere condolences he was such a nice man
Dear Diane, News of Mike's sudden passing was such a shock to all who knew him. Our hearts go out to you and mikes's family. Sad and hard to take, yet his passing after the joy of receiving his so well deserved "Quilt of Valour" at Gem Vac Vets Tuesday morning was so special. I had to miss it due to medical appts.!!
Mike was so special. Though we only knew each other over the past five years, we bonded--as brothers, as "fox hole buddies", and with Ruth, Paul, Andy, and Rick working with Mike on "taking the Reins". When he finally got on that horse and rode around the ring and outside course--WOW --the beam on his face will forever be with me!!
We had our precious and much needed talks with each other--both suffering with PTSS for so many years...together we helped each other and bonded as brothers. Not just as WWII vets who had both suffered tough losses of close buddies and all the other memories of the "hell" of wars. But, we were both positive about life, life loving, patriots of America and lovers of a good laugh, or joke, and our close kinship. I have been deeply personally blessed with his eternal friendship. I shall miss him daily, but he will be with me daily in my prayers, as will you.
Friends aren't much help in times of deep loss, but perhaps our expression of sadness and love can, in time, help you. But your abiding love of Mike, your faith and fond memories will sustain you. With our sympathy and love. Jim & Shirley
Mike was always smiling and friendly at GEM VAC. I enjoyed conversations with him as did everyone else. We will miss him.
My condolences to Mike's loved ones. May these promises bring them comfort in this time of sadness. Jehovah God is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit. And he will wipe away the tears from all faces. Psalm 34:18; Isaiah 25:8 NWT. Peace be with you.
Dear family - my deepest condolences on this great and sudden loss! I came to know and love Mike since 2015 at the Take The Reins Riding program and nothing gave me more joy than to see him invigorated and enjoying the horses and being able to ride again. Mike cared deeply for his fellow veterans and motivated me greatly to continue the pursuit of serving our MVPs through horsemanship services for veterans with visible and invisible wounds.
It is because of people like Mike, that Project Horses For Forces is coming into being - we will never forget him and we will honor his valor and concern, and we will celebrate his love for horses by naming our future barn: Mike Moretti's Barn. I just wished he could have seen it come to fruition, as was his desire!
Thank you for your service to your country Mike, thank you for your friendship and love - you will be in my heart forever. Ruth
The staff of MacFadden Funeral Home extend our deepest condolences to you and your family on the passing of your loved one. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy for your loss. May our thoughts and prayers provide comfort for your family during this difficult time.
