Obituary of Debra Ann Johnson (Vasko)

Debra Ann Johnson (Vasko) died peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in White Township, New Jersey at the age of 60, after a valiant battle with cancer. Debra is survived by her mother and father, Albert De Cresci and Betty De Cresci; her husband, Erik Johnson; her son and daughter, Kenneth Vasko and Kelley Nemeckay; her stepsons, Alexander and Kristian Johnson; and her beautiful newborn grandson, Daniel Cade Nemeckay. Debra was born in 1956 in Belvidere, New Jersey, and has spent her entire life in Warren County. She was a graduate of Belvidere High School, and a hardworking employee of Hoffmann La Roche. Helping children was a passion of Debra's. She was an aide to numerous students with special needs, and was a Sunday school teacher for many years at Belvidere United Methodist Church. In addition, she created a loving and supportive environment for Kelley, Kenneth, and their friends throughout their youth. Later in her life, she was a valuable member of the Warren County Clerk's Office, where she served the public for fifteen years. She was loved by many and will be remembered fondly. A funeral is scheduled for 1:00PM on Saturday, March 11th at Belvidere United Methodist Church, located at 219 Hardwick Street, under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, with a reception to follow. Pastor Evan Rohrs-Dodge will officiate the ceremony. The funeral will be preceded by a time of visitation starting at 11:00AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Debra's life.
