Betty Jane Smith, 86, of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Hackettstown Regional Medical Center, Hackettstown, NJ.
Born on December 5, 1930 in Oxford, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Viola Reese Buchman.
Betty was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of the Young at Heart in Oxford. She enjoyed cooking, cooking and game shows and playing cards.
In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband Earl, who died in 1996; a son, Ronald; a sister, Joyce Buchman; a brother, Raymond.
Surviving are a son Earl Smith Jr. and his wife Donna; a sister, Marjorie Silverthorn; a brother, Claude A. Buchman and his wife Nancy; a grandson; two great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Buttzville Cemetery, Green Pond Road, Buttzville, NJ.
