Lillian M. Lehnert, 88, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 4, 2016 at the Care Center of Lopatcong, Lopatcong Township, NJ.
Born on June 24, 1928 in Moscow, PA, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mary Resh Singer.
Lillian was a Certified Nurses Aid at the Care Center of Lopatcong before retiring in 1992. She had previously been a lunch aid at the Belvidere High School.
Lillian was a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church, where she also taught Sunday School.
Earlier, Lillian was a Girl Scout Leader for over 17 years. She was a member of the Ladies Independent Order of Reindeer, E. Stroudsburg, PA; Brown and Lynch American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Palmer Township, PA.
In addition to her parents, Lillian was predeceased by her husband, James G. Lehnert who died on July 5, 1995.
Surviving are a son, David; a daughter, Sandra Lilly and her husband McRae; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to the time of service at the funeral home.
