Dear Barrick Family,
Please accept my condolences on the death of Mama Barrick. She was my daughter, Ronda's babysitter for many years. I always knew that while I was at work she would be well cared for and well loved by your mother. Mama and Daddy Barrick provided a warm and welcoming home and treated her like family. I will be forever grateful to your mother for making it easy for me to work and not worry about Ronda's day care or before and after school care. When Ronda's grandfather died one August your mother insisted on keeping Ronda with her on the day of his funeral because she was too young to go. Mama Barrick refused any payment because she was a kind and loving person. I am very sorry for your loss.
Sincerely,
Harriet Roemmelt Dufton

I knew as a kid that if anything happened to my Mom and Dad that Aunt Irene was my Godmother and Uncle Albert was my Godfather and that they would take care of me. I wondered what it would be like to have three big brothers and one little sister. I wondered if I would be a good scout and if I would get to add a sticker on the window when we went to camp at a new place. It did not need to happen, but I thought about "what if".
I now wonder what is will be like when we are reunited in heaven. I wonder of we will dance like we did at weddings. Will the heavenly banquet include salami sandwiches on rye bread?
My love to my "just in case" family. May God bless you now and with strength in the days ahead.
Betty & family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. Even though an adult, I know you still saw yourself as Mommy's little girl. I know it is so difficult but your Mom is now at peace and with your Dad. I wish I could ease your pain as well as your family. Love you Sis!
So sorry to hear of "Auntie Irene's" passing. Will keep you all in our prayers at this difficult time. Sending warm hugs to all with love, Cousin Beth
