Obituary of Earl M Howell

Earl M. Howell, 86, a lifelong resident of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born on January 24, 1929 in Belvidere, NJ, he was the son of the late Walter and Clara Kinaman Howell. Earl was a foreman for Oxford Textile Company, Oxford, NJ before retiring. After retirement, he was a bus driver for First Student, Washington, NJ. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. Earl was a member of the American Legion as well as the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was an active participant of the Warren County War Memorial. Earl had enjoyed racing, both stock cars and boats. In his younger age, he enjoyed dancing. Earl had been active with the Belvidere Youth Athletic Association for many years; as a coach and Past President. He was an avid Yankee fan. Earl was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, Earl was predeceased by ten siblings. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Florence Miller Howell; a daughter, JoAnne Post and her husband Eric of E. Bangor, PA; a son, Stephen and his fiancé Ximena of Belvidere, NJ; two grandchildren, William and Christopher Collins; two sisters, Eva Yonocsko and Betty Mackes.
