Robert John Calbo, 77, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at the Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ.
Born on February 24, 1938 in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Michael and Emma Marrone Calbo.
Mr. Calbo was a bus driver for the New York City Transit Authority before retiring. He had served in the U.S. Navy during peacetime.
Robert was a parishioner of St. Jude R.C. Church, Budd Lake, NJ and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by a son Joseph Calbo.
Surviving are his wife, Grace Mercurio Calbo; three daughters, Rosemary Parisi, Patrice Cataldo, and Linda Sortino; nine grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, September 5, 2015 at St. Jude R.C. Church, 17 Mount Olive Road, Budd Lake, NJ. Interment will be private in the Belvidere Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to the National Shrine of St. Jude, 3200 East 91st Street, Chicago, IL 60617.
