Condolences
It was not as much of a surprise to me of Curtis' passing since John Panulla had told me about his downturn in health. I guess I was one of those roving characters that Steve Whitney recalls visiting the Poyer house and print shop. I learned to set type and run the presses from his father, Jim. Poyer Press is now a part of Belvidere's history. I wish I could have convinced Curtis he could have kept the shop open and modify it to support his creative interests. My condolences go to Delores and Paula and their families.
I am very saddened to hear of this loss! I have very fond memories of time spent with Curtis back in Belvidere in the 60's and 70's. He was a good guy, and he will be missed!
So sorry to hear of Curtis' passing. I have many fond memories of "hanging out" with Curtis, John, Glenn, Tim, and the rest of the roving cast of characters that frequented the Poyer's house. If it wasn't for Curtis, I probably wouldn't have my love for classical music! Rest in peace, old chum!
