Obituary of William N. Cole

William N. Cole Jr., 68, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home. Born on April 9, 1943 in Phillipsburg, NJ, he is the son of Katherine Cole of Belvidere, NJ and the late William N. Cole, Sr. William graduated from Belvidere High School in 1961. He attended Kentucky Wesleyan University and graduated in 1965 with a B.S. in Education. He was a PE teacher at Belvidere High School for 35 years. He coached football for Belvidere for many of those years. He also enjoyed the company of his dog, Chubbs. He was a member of the BEA, NJEA, and NEA as well as the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon. William is survived by his wife, Nancy Cole of Belvidere; daughters Tanya Cole of Falling Waters, WV and Kristin Cole of Myrtle Beach, SC; mother, Katherine Cole of Belvidere; a brother, Ted Cole and his wife Lynn Cole of Belvidere, NJ; and grandson Ethan Cole, also of WV. He was predeceased by his father, William N. Cole Sr., and a brother Larry Cole. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund in William's memory is being established for graduating seniors at Belvidere High School.
