Obituary of Virginia R. Whitford

Virginia R. Whitford, 78, of Oxford, NJ passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Born in Allentown, PA on January 28, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Ester Christiansen Morganstern. Mrs. Whitford was the wife of the late Alfred E. Whitford III, who died on February 22, 1982. She was a homemaker, an avid reader and enjoyed sports, gardening and spending time with her family. Mrs. Whitford was a member of the Summerfield United Methodist Church, White Township, Belvidere, NJ. Surviving are five children, sons, Scott and his wife Teri of Phillipsburg, NJ, Todd and his wife Lisa of Harmony, NJ; daughters, Wendy Hydock and her husband George of Mt. Bethel, PA, Donna Whitford at home, Laurie Mucklin and her husband Harry of Bangor, PA; two sisters, Helen Snyder of Scottsdale, AZ and Carole Regec of Coopersburg, PA; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
