Violet A. Wolfinger, 96, of Belvidere, White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at the Chelsea, White Twp., NJ. Born on November 8, 1916, in Ottsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late James and Bertha Hermanson Siwert. Violet was a secretary for the former H&H Searles Insurance Agency, Belvidere, NJ before retiring. Violet was a member of the Belvidere Women's Club. She had been an avid seamstress, enjoyed arts and crafts, and oil painting. In addition to her parents, Violet was predeceased by her husband, Harvey "Red" Wolfinger; two daughters, Donna Denker and Jean Wolfinger; three brothers, Ben, Arthur and John Siwert. Surviving are two daughters, Joan Raphaels and Lynn Stecker; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillie Orman; a brother, Arnold Siwert; nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in Violet's memory to the Compassionate Care Hospice, 350 Sparta Avenue, Building B, Suite 2, Sparta, NJ 07871.
