Obituary of Domenick W. Colangelo

Domenick W. Colangelo, 85, of Elizabethtown, PA, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at the Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, PA. Born on March 26, 1927 in Dunmore, PA, he was the son of the late Domenick and Donata Marie Sileo Colangelo. Dom had served in the Navy during WWII. He was a 1951 graduate of the University of Scranton. He was a mathematics teacher at Belvidere High School for over 38 years before retiring. While at Belvidere High, Dom was a long standing football coach for over 30 years. Most recently he was inducted into the Hall of Fame at the University of Scranton and had the Belvidere High School football field dedicated in his honor. Dom was a parishioner of St. Patrick R. C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. He was an active member of the Belvidere Lions Club. In addition to his parents, Dom was predeceased by a son, David. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ann Cheponis Colangelo; four children, Domenick III and his wife Nadja, Catherine Fischer and her husband Jay, Grace Wells and her husband Charles, and Anthony and his wife Chris; a sister, Grace Colangelo; eight grandchildren, Alana and Logan Fischer, Jereme and Julee Wells, Emily, Belle, Sophia and Domenick IV Colangelo. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in Dom�,�(TM)s memory to the Belvidere Lions Club or N.O.R.W.E.S.C.A.P.
