Obituary of Theresa Heeres

We are confident, yes, well pleased to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. II Cor. 5:8 Theresa (Tjitske) Heeres, 65, went home to be with her Savior on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, after a brief illness. Born on February 23, 1947 in Parrega, The Netherlands, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Helen Heeres. Theresa emigrated with her family from The Netherlands in 1957. She graduated from Washington High School in 1965. She devoted her life to caring for her parents and her late sister Sytske, who died in 2009. She also courageously battled the effects of MS for the last 18 years. She lived on the family farm in Harmony Township for the last 42 years. Surviving are four brothers, Hotse of Washington, NJ, Henk at home, Harold and his wife Colette of Harmony, Wayne and his companion Lorrie of Kunkletown, PA; two sisters, Alice Tjalma and her husband Bauke of Harmony, and Lena Rethorn and her husband Peter of Findlay, OH; 17 nephews and nieces.
