Obituary of Angela D. Miller

Angela D. Miller, 78, of the Country View Village, White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2009 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on June 1, 1931 in Manchester, NH, she was the daughter of the late J. Leo and Leonne Raiche Dery. Mrs. Miller worked for many years as a Medical Lab Technician at Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ, while raising her family. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling across country and abroad, as well as many outdoor activities. In her travels, Angela visited Europe, Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, Iceland and Alaska and toured the country between the east coast and Utah where her daughter Julie resides. While living in the Adirondack Mountain area of Indian Lake, NY, Angela volunteered her time at the Adirondack Museum and enjoyed outdoor adventures in northern New York. Angela most recently spent much of her time volunteering with the Northwest New Jersey Community Action Program, helping with the Visiting Homemaker Service "Meals on Wheels" program and participated on the Community Emergency Response Team of Phillipsburg and White Township. Angela was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere. Surviving are her loving children, their spouses and grandchildren: daughter, Michelle Voorhis and her husband Chic, grandsons, Christopher and Eric; son, Marc Miller and granddaughter, Aline; daughter, Julie Rogers and her husband William and granddaughters Amy and Kali; daughter Linda Miller and grandson Jason.
