Elizabeth H. Atwood, 92, of Pennington, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Brandywine Senior Living @ Pennington. Born on June 11, 1920 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. Vetter and Tacey White Vetter. Mrs. Atwood had lived in Belvidere and Heath Village, Hackettstown, NJ before moving to Pennington six months ago. Betty was the gentle matriarch of our family. Her wisdom and strength were a beacon of light that always guided the family. Although she will be greatly missed , her spirit will remain alive in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two husbands, James Hill and William Atwood and her daughter, Tacey Hart. Surviving are two sons, David Hill and his wife Lucy of Philadelphia, PA, and Gregory Hill and his wife Jody of Pennington, NJ; a son-in-law, Bernard Hart of Belvidere, NJ; a brother, Richard Vetter of Pittsburgh, PA; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.
