Obituary of Christine F. Finnegan

Christine "Chris" F. Finnegan, 64, of Belvidere, NJ was called home on November 19, 2008. Born on August 29, 1944 in Elizabeth, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Viola Czajka Dudek. Chris was a native of Roselle, NJ and had lived in Belvidere for over 25 years where she raised her family. A graduate of Bellevue Nursing School in N.Y.C., Chris dedicated her over 40 year career in nursing to the treatment of patients in several local hospitals as well as private oncology practices. Chris' benevolent spirit extended beyond her professional life; in the service of her family, church and community. With a kind and humble soul, her life is a testament that one person can make a difference. Chris' journey home will reunite her with her parents, her beloved husband Lawrence "Larry" A. Finnegan Jr., and her precious angel, grandson James Henry. Surviving are her daughter Christine Menegus and son-in-law Jim and grandsons Robbie and Larry; her son, Larry and grandson Nicholas; and her daughter Kathy Izzo and son-in-law Joe. While her passing leaves a heartfelt void in the lives of her family, friends and all whom she touched, all who knew her will no doubt smile when remembering her simple formula for a happy life: plenty of chocolate, never stop crocheting and garage sales.
