Helen Mae Hoffman, 94, of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 19, 2008. Born on July 23, 1913 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Samuel J. and Annie M. Stout Read. Mrs. Hoffman enjoyed dog breeding and farming. She had also operated Hoffman Sand and Gravel. Mrs. Hoffman was predeceased by her husband Charles A. Hoffman who died on August 12, 1982. Surviving are two sons, Charles A., Jr. and his wife Marion of Mt. Lake and Eugene of Palmer Township, PA; a brother, Floyd Read of Phillipsburg; three grandchildren, Elena Kays, Veronica Broomell and Kevin Hoffman; and two great-grandchildren.
