Obituary of Warren J. Glander

Warren J. Glander, 80, of the Brookfield section of White Township, NJ, formerly of Maywood, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the VNA Hospice House, E. Stroudsburg, PA. Born on November 30, 1927 in Maywood, NJ, he was the son of the late John Henry and Kate (Kyle) Glander. Mr. Glander had lived Maywood before moving to Brookfield. Mr. Glander was an engineer for P.S.E.& G., Newark, NJ for over 35 years before retiring. He was a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point. He served in the Merchant Marines as a chief�(TM)s mate during WWII. Mr. Glander was a former member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Maywood, NJ. He was a member of St. Luke�(TM)s Lutheran Church, Washington, NJ and a member and Past Master of the Mosaic Lodge #194 F. & A.M., Ridgefield Park, NJ. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Dolores J. (VanBlarcom) Glander; four children, Deborah Turner and her husband Michael, Douglas J. Glander and his wife Joan, Kate Rothman and her husband Carl, and John H. Glander and his wife Jennifer; 14 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions requested to be made in his memory to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, E.
