Obituary of William C. Lightcap

William C. Lightcap, Jr., 69, of Harmony Township, NJ, passed away peacefully with his loving family at his side on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on July 30, 1937 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Lt. Col. William C. Lightcap, Sr. and the late Douglas and Nola Rader Amey. Bill was a Physical Education teacher and Department Chairman of the Health and Physical Education Department at the Warren Hills Regional School District until retiring in 1992. During his tenure at Warren Hills Regional he served as head cross country coach, assistant football coach and assistant athletic director. He was a member of the National Eagle Scout Association having attained the rank of Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 141 in Belvidere, NJ. He was also a member of the New Jersey Principals and Supervisors Association. He was a member of the Harmony Township Historical Commission and a former member of the Harmony Township Board of Education. He formerly served as a Staff Sergeant in the New Jersey National Guard. He was a 1955 graduate of Belvidere High School. He received his bachelor�(TM)s degree in Health and Physical Education from Trenton State College and his Masters degree in Health and Physical Education from East Stroudsburg University. Bill was of the Christian and Missionary Alliance faith. Surviving are his wife, the former Marlene Bogusky; two daughters, Kristine M. and Kim A. of Palmer Township, PA; two brothers, Richard of Lancaster, PA and Eric of Rocksburg, NJ; Surviving are two sisters, Karin Schehr of Rocksburg, NJ a sister, Marcia Gould of Nazareth, PA; a granddaughter, Zorianna.
