Condolences
Phyllis was my first director in Sweet Adelines, after a neighbor brought my mother, Bert Zupko, and I in along with about 8 others. She later sang with me in a quartet, and made many costumes for me.
I used to see her daughter and grandchildren when visiting my sister's children in concerts and events at their common school in Phillipsburg NJ
I wish we could have known earlier..we certainly would have been there to give you all support!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you....she was a wonderful person and will be missed!

I was so sorry to hear abour Phyllis. I enjoyed singing with her in Hickory Tree and enjoyed the old stories we shared of the many years we've been involved in Sweet Adelines.
My condolences on the loss of your mother, Phyllis. I wasn't a close friend, but knew her through Sweet Adelines. She made a costume for me. I sing In Ramampo Valley. She was such an upbeat, kind woman. I enjoyed chatting with her. She will be missed. I'm sorry for your loss.

I just loved Phyllis. We shared many wonderful times with the Far Hills Chorus and then with Hickory Tree Chorus. She was such an inspriation in the music world with Sweet Adelines - a "can do" person. She was so helpful on the costume committee too - made a couple of my costumes. A POSITIVE gal she was, especially in the face of illness. I will miss her so much. Love to her family.
I am deeply saddened to hear about Phyllis's passing. We carpooled to chorus for several months when she moved to Hope. I got to know her pretty well. She was an absolutely delightful woman with a positive, uplifting attitude. I was sad to see her leave chorus. She truly loved her family and her spirit will be with me forever.
My deepest condolences to the family.
I was shocked to hear of Phyllis' death. I sang with her in Hickory Tree for several years and, after she moved in with her daughter, we talked occasionally on the internet. She always had such a positive outlook about her illness. I know she was so happy to be in her new home with her family. I am so sorry I hadn't written her in awhile. She was a fine lady, and I will miss her. I send my condolences to all of her family.
I am so sorry to hear of Phyllis Shade's passing.
I was a member of Watchung View chapter of Sweet Adelines when Phyllis directed it and currently a member of Hickory Tree Chorus. Phyllis loved singing. She will be missed.
Please accept my condolences.
Sincerely,
Jeanne Elmuccio
I was sorry to hear of Phyllis's passing. Phyllis not only loved to sing, she was a terrific seamstress too. Phyllis always had a "positive" attitude. I will miss her notes of encouragement to Hickory Tree.
Sincerely,
Denise Klaube
