Michael J. "Mike" Cowell, 17, of Effort, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2005 in Chestnuthill Township, PA. Mike was a student in his senior year at the Pleasant Valley High School, Brodheadsville, PA. Born on March 4, 1988 in Hamilton, NY, he was the son of Howard James and Polly Crane Cowell. Mike was a former member of the Effort United Methodist Church Youth Group. He enjoyed working with computers. Surviving in addition to his parents are two brothers, Josh and Howard James; a sister, Cassie; grandparents, Howard and Charlotte Cowell, Bob and Jean Crane all of Belvidere, NJ; paternal great grandmother, Belva Rymon of Hackettstown, NJ; several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
