Condolences
It must be more than 40 years since "Danny" and I last spoke and learning of his passing comes as a shock underscored by the lifetime that has passed in the meantime: sometimes there ISN'T enough timeâ¦
But I knew Danny when there WAS enough time, in the west end of Plainfield when baseball, football, and basketball were at the nexus of our adolescence and St. MaryâÂ(TM)s was a necessary annoyance that provided the venue for the free exercise of 'bragging rights'â¦
May God bless and keep your family and have mercy on your soul, Dannyâ¦

One of the last times I saw Dan was right before the reunion .Me,him Billy, and Bob got together for a round of golf.It was 35 years since we all saw each other. It felt like we were back in high school.Just like old times.Dan still had that fire in his eyes, talking about retirement, family and softball.I could see how proud he was,you seeDan was a competitor whether it was darts, basketball,or golf. You better bring your (A) gameDan was here to win.Dan you were always a winner I'm going to miss you, save me a tee time.
To the Nolan Family,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure all of my fellow classmates at STA feel the pain of Danny's passing.
I am glad I got to see Danny one last time a snowy night in January. He was his usual happy, upbeat self, talking about his family and softball and music from our high school days. I am happy to have recently reconnected with him after many years though the wonders of Facebook, reunions and Kinderhook music.

At this time of sorrow, we would like to extend our sincere heartfelt sympathy to Dan's family, friends, and close relatives. He was an amazing husband, father, friend and coach. He loved the kids and the kids loved him. (BIG Man with a BIG Heart). He will be greatly missed!
Having been reunited with Danny a couple of years ago (through Facebook and then reunions) we recently had a conversation in which Danny said that he really treasured the relationships developed in High School and looked forward to spending more time with old friends. I won't let the memory of that conversation fade. Condolences to Theresa and the kids. God's strenth to you right now.
Where can I start - Dan meant so much to our family He was always there for Allison 0 even when she was student teaching at Voorhees. He always gave her the confidence she needed when she doubted herself. He would show up at her college games (even some away) which always meant a lot to her. Our trips from Conn to Florida with the Fusion will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Nolan Family. Dan will not be forgotten... God Bless
Our thoughts are with the Nolan family and the Fusion organization during this difficult time. We are thankful to have been part of Danny's Fusion family.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Nolan Family and the Fusion family at this time. God bless you all and we are so sorry for your loss.

Danny, words cant even express how much i value each and every lesson you have ever taught me. You were by far one of the most influential people to have made an impact in my life, as you were for many others. I am truly blessed to have had you in my life, and i know that you will be looking down from above, with that same grin on your face, with the same whit and sarcasm and love that you always did. Continue to touch lives. I’ll be sure to hit a few up to the sky for you <3
Thinking of all the Nolans and reflecting on a lifetime friendship!
I have had the privelage of traveling up and down the east coast coaching softball with Danny for the last five years. Danny has affected the lives of so many young adults in a positive manner, there are too many to count. He believed in not only coaching athletics, but life as well. He told the truth even when it was difficult to hear, and always gave positive feedback. I am lucky to have know him, and my life will be forever better because I did. Youth softball and the peoples lives he touched will never be the same without him, but will be better because of him. I will miss my friend.
To the Nolan Family:
Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Danny leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love, laughter, and a life well lived....

our deepest sympathy to your family, although we only knew Dan a short while our daughter joined the fusion this year. He made a profound impact on her a constant source of guidance he had a great way of inspiring his team. She will remember all his pearls of wisdom. How lucky for us to have known him even though the time was too short. God Bless Dan

To the Nolan Family: Our sincere condolences for your loss.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Danny was one of my first friends when I joined the prosecutor's office. He was one of the juvenile officers. I'll never forget how he was looking out for me when I was thinking of buying a particular house in Pfld. I'll remember him making sure I knew about a shooting nearby. I'll always remember his laugh and his smile, with his eyes sparkling.
We would like to extend our sincere condolences to Theresa and the children. Just know that Danny touched many lives!! He will surely be missed by all. Just know that he's not gone - he's right there with all - guiding them in the right direction!! You're in our thoughts & prayers!

I have fond memories of a couple of times I met Dan at Lakeside Pines in ME and at his brother Joe's retirement party in NJ. I've been a friend of brother Joe for many years - and can only say I'd have liked to meet Dan anytime, anywhere - he was that likable! My thoughts and prayers will be with Dan's family and all the Nolan extended family at this time of bereavement.

I wish I could wake up and have this be a horrible dream. One consolation is how much love he had from his wife, his kids, his family and his friends. He packed so much living in every day. The thouht of life without him is unbearable until you remember hes again with those he loved. See you again.
Laughter came easy to Danny, and he had the gift of making those around him feel comfortable and important. He was outgoing, personable and as decent a man as you would ever meet.
Although I was only able to see him infrequently later in life, on the occasions I did he was always ready with a personalized story or two that would re-establish the connection of our youthful Plainfield days. He and Marty were essential to the bond still shared by the extended Plainfield fraternity of the 70’s.
My sincere sympathies to Theresa and their children, to Marty and the Nolan family, as well as his many close friends.
I was fortunate to have known Danny for over 40 years, and all us who were befriended by him have had our lives enriched.
Theresa, Dana, Amanda, Matt...I wish I had all the right words to say but I'm at a loss. He is a man who loved life, family and friends. At my age and with him 10 years younger than me, I wish I had learned more from him so I could cope with losing him. I'm so sorry for all of you and the pain you are in. Eventually, I hope the great fun memories will take over. I love all of you.
To Theresa, Dana, Amanda and Matt,
May all of your fond memories of your husband and father warm and comfort you at this most difficult time. I lost my father the same way. It doesn't seem right and it is hardly fair. Know that he is all around you and he will live on in you, your children and someday in their children.
With my heartfelt and sincerest condolences,
Debbie Perelli
So many great times spent with Danny, Giants Football games, catching one game of fusion softball, and seeing that passion that everyone is talking about. Campfires in Maine, great memories. But what I will remember more than anything is his love for life, love for his family and his love for his friends. Danny was one of a kind. I will never sit in front of a campfire again and not think of Danny. God's speed Danny, till be meet again, may the good lord hold you in the palm of his hands

Danny and his brother Marty were a huge part of my childhood memories and the Basile family always considered them as brothers. My fondest memories of Danny are of us all as teens playing cards in the basement of our Plainfield house or as part of a crowd going midnight bowling at Strike and Spare. We laughed a lot in those days. He had a great sense of humor. Those were good times and he was a good man. My deepest condolences to his wife, Theresa, to his brother Marty and to the entire Nolan family.
Are thoughts are with you and your children. Unfortunately we will not be able to be there for the services.
