Obituary of Charlotte Hosterman

Charlotte Hosterman, 86, of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ.

Born on December 19, 1936 in Harmony Township, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Edna Jennings Reeder.

Charlotte was a cafeteria worker at the Belvidere High School for many years before retiring.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Belvidere, NJ; American Legion, Post 131, Auxiliary, serving as treasurer; Ladies Auxiliary Good Will Fire Company; and State Firemen’s Association Auxiliary.

Charlotte enjoyed gardening, sitting on her front porch and most importantly, her family.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Lloyd Ellis Hosterman, who died in 2019; four brothers, Herb, Donald, James, and Ralph; a sister, Anna Mae Miller.

Surviving are her children, Paul (Linda) of Belvidere, NJ, Tom (Cindy) of Belvidere, Brenda Richards (Bill) of Martins Creek, PA, John (Michelle) of Belvidere, and David of East Stroudsburg, PA; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Casie, Ryan, Caitlin, Tyler, Emily, Braeden, Scarlett, and Logan; six great-grandchildren, Kolby, Brianne, Kayla, Brooke, Brantley, and Wyatt; two brothers, George and Richard Reeder both of Belvidere; two sisters, Mary Osmun of OH, and Cathy Buschi of TX; and a “Whole Shit Load” of nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at the Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ, under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.
