Obituary of Clifford N. Riddle

Clifford N. Riddle, 96, of White Township, NJ. Passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2013 at the Bridgeway Care and Rehab Center, Hillsborough, NJ. Born on May 21, 1917 in the Hazen section of White Twp., NJ, he was the son of the last Frank and Ella Petty Riddle. Mr. Riddle was a production supervisor for the former Celanese Corporation, Belvidere, NJ before retiring. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Cliff had served on the Board of Hazen Cemetery Association and was the former superintendent. He had enjoyed all sports, especially billiards at the Country View Club House where he had been the Club House Champ. Cliff also enjoyed being outdoors and in his garden. Mr. Riddle was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Oxford at Hazen and had served as an elder. In addition to his parents, Clifford was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Berry; two sisters, Elsie Bunker and Vera Scott; a brother Harold Riddle. Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Joyce Hess Riddle; a son, Dale Riddle of Peoria, AZ; a daughter, Kathy Batzer of Hillsborough, NJ; 4 grandchildren, Christine and Daniel Riddle and Joseph and Matthew Batzer; a great-granddaughter, Kayla Batzer.
