I recently found out former Commisioner Fauver had passed away I worked under Mr.Fauver as a Correction Officer in my opinion he was the best NJ DOC Commisioner for that Department .Rest In Peace

I worked for Mr. Fauver when he was superintendent of Annandale Reformatory. He was professional and easy to talk to and had an open door policy. He had a dry sense of humor that will be remembered by me. He will be sorely missed.

Commissioner Fauver was a wonderful, caring man and a great friend. Many of us who knew and worked with him affectionately referred to him as Uncle Bill. He was always willing to help whenever he could. My years working at the Dept. of Corrections were among the best and most enjoyable years of my working career.

Commissioner Fauver was a kind and considerate man who successfully led a large and complex agency for many, many years. I consider myself lucky to have worked for him and known him. Rest in peace, my friend.

Commissioner Fauver will be remembered by all of us who had the privilege of working with him as "Mr. Corrections". Mr. Fauver was a remarkable man, I was a young Officer at Annandale when I first met Mr. Fauver on Thanksgiving Day in 1977. Mr. Fauver always came to the prison on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day's to visit the staff. Mr. Fauver never forgot the staff that worked for him and he was always gracious to everyone. He was considered to be one of the best Commissioner's to ever lead the DOC. May he Rest in Peace.

I worked for Commissioner Fauver for many years. He was respected by staff, legislators and governors. He was a teacher, superintendent, director and ultitmately the commissioner - a position he held for enough years to become known as the longest serving corrections commissioner in the country. He was one of a kind and I was lucky enough to be with the department during his reign. He was missed when he retired and he is missed now. God Bless you Bill and rest in peace. My deepest sympathy to the family of Bill Fauver. I worked (and still do) at the Dept. of Corrections since 1972 and had the deepest respect and admiration for "The Suit Man." He always had an "open door" policy with the staff and was loved by all. His passing is a great loss to all that knew him. I have so many fond memories of him from over the years and he will be remembered by me always.
