Condolences
We have lots of great memories. You coming to my baseball games in High Bridge. Vanilla Ice Cream. Ice skating(and the last I ever skated). Turkey dinners. And my kids who grew up calling you Grandma Bean! We love you and miss you.
With heartfelt sadness I read of Margarets passing. I worked with her as her relief nurse at Hunterdon Developmental Center. She was a lovely woman and a joy to know. I will always remember her and smile as she always did when she saw me.
Grandma would come visit at least once a year when we were kids. She always brought rummage sale "treasures"that were exactly that to Jim and Jeremy andI. We always looked forward to her visits. She had a huge impact on my childhood...so many things I will not soon forget, the most significant being tea parties, the toy closet under the stairs in her old house, the reservoir, andwalking her to her car when she had to go back to New Jersey. You will be missed Grandma! I hope you are at peace and enjoying a fantastic slice of pizza (thin crust of course). Love you!
Steve and I knew Margaret as members of Belvidere United Methodist Church. She was a joy to have in the Disciple I Bible study class, that we lead, in 2000-2001. Her candid observations were refreshing.
I was amazed at how she cared for her youngest grandchildren, when she was nearly 80 years old.
We would see Margaret walk by our home many, many times, and I would join her when able. She loved to be outdoors, and must have walked miles and miles. It was sad that her illness took away her independence.
My Aunt Margaret was a strong, independent woman with gusto and life and loved history and books and children and was a nurse, mother, aunt, sister, wife. We miss her already. SHE CANNOT be replaced. The world is a quieter but sadder place. There is no way to replace this woman. She has left a legacy of strength and fortitude to be remembered.
I will always remember Grandma bringing Chef Boyardee Spaghetti O's and Ravioli when she came to visit us growing up in rural Pennsylvania. Though considered 'junk food' by our mom those care packages were big treats to us kids. Grandma also bought me my first drum set. It was purchased at a rummage sale (where else?) but I loved it.
